ABSTRACT

This research proposes a new class of RES-CAViaR (conditional autoregressive value-at-risk) models, that incorporate daily realized volatility and expected shortfall (ES) to forecast VaR and ES simultaneously. We further consider weekly and monthly realized volatilities in the proposed model to approximate a long-memory process. We employ the Bayesian adaptive Markov chain Monte Carlo approach to estimate all unknown parameters and to jointly predict daily VaR and ES over a 4-year out-of-sample period including the COVID-19 pandemic. Our results show that the realized CAViaR-type models outperform in terms of three backtests, four loss-function criteria, and ES measurement at the 1% level. © 2022 Elsevier Inc.

ABSTRACT

In recent years, due to the impact of COVID-19 around the world, there has been a serious shortage of medical resources. In order to supplement the manpower and fear that medical staff's contact with patients will cause a breach in the epidemic, reduce the workload of nurses, and help nurses perform repetitive tasks so that nurses can concentrate more on the patient's condition. Therefore, this paper proposes M-Robot, which is a friendly interface service robot based on the Android system and can be controlled by voice, touch, and remote control in the medical care field. The system is mainly divided into two parts. One is the web server. The web server is divided into two parts: front-end and back-end. The front-end is responsible for friendly user interface management, and the back-end is for accessing the SQLite database, as well as processing speech recognition and semantic understanding in voice services. In the other part, we use TEMI robot to develop and complete the desired service. Its service content includes environment introduction, delivery service, questionnaire survey, broadcast car, scheduling reminder, follow-up record, and patient instruction video. In the voice control mode, the user can say the wake-up word to the robot and say the required service content, and the robot will execute after receiving the message;in the remote control mode, we provide a friendly web interface for remote control. As well as the information needed to manage various services. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

This article discusses the aerosol transmission characteristics of COVID-19 and its ozone oxidation disinfection ability. Since COVID-19 has caused the death of a large number of people around the world and economic stagnation and loss, how to effectively prevent its spread is a very important research topic. The body of COVID-19 is very small, so its propagation behaviour in the environment may be highly similar to the movement of aerosol. It is extremely necessary to explore its aerosol proper-ties. In addition, how to effectively disinfect is also an important means to prevent its harm. In addition to alcohol and ultraviolet disinfection, ozone disinfection is also an important method. The effectiveness of ozone disinfection is related to its oxidation characteristics, so this article will also discuss the chemical oxidation characteristics of COVID-19. At the same time, various prevention methods were discussed, and finally, from the above discussion content, suggestions for prevention and treatment of COVID19 were put forward. © 2020, Scibulcom Ltd..
